Join us for a unique and powerful journey into the world of karanga. We offer 7 x 2.5-hour sessions, delivered fortnightly, in a safe and supportive environment. Spaces are limited to 15 participants, so early registration is essential.
You will be guided through the essential knowledge and practice required of a kaikaranga, including:

Pakiwaitara – Cultural narratives and their meaning

Dress Code & Presentation – Appropriate attire and demeanour

Standing Positions – Protocols inside and outside the marae

Roles & Responsibilities – Understanding your duty as a kaikaranga

Marae Performance - from pōhiri to poroporoaki

Integration with kaupapa - guest kaikaranga speakers share their experiences.

Integration and delivery on marae - kaikaranga debate pro’s and con’s with ngā kaikōrero tāne.
